Online annoyances
Isn’t OnlySimchas so much prettier without those annoying flashing ads everywhere? Once you’ve seen it without, you’ll never want to go back. (Facebook too…)

It’s as simple as right-click -> Block Content, click, click, click. Ahhhh….
And it’s only one small reason to use the Opera Web Browser.
PS: Yes, this is a shameless promotion for my part in the current generation of Browser Wars. It’s the only software I promote regularly, and I have had good reason to snce 2000. It runs my life and with IE or Firefox or Safari or Konqueror, I am crippled. And it’s worth it.
PPS: No, Opera isn’t the only software out there that blocks banner ads. But it makes it easy, and there are enough other reasons to want to use Opera.
I was about to write some sarcastic sentiment to the effect that using Opera requires one to use a dreaded PC, when I clicked on your link and found that it exists for Mac as well. Oh. I’m downloading it now to have a look: why do you feel that it’s better than Firefox? (My browser of choice..)

Simon, it runs on a lot more platforms than Firefox! Such as numerous mobile phones, and portable / TV platforms. It is, for example, the Internet Channel on the new Nintendo Wii…
But basically Opera has a lot more features out of the box than Firefox, is the most consistently secure browser, and uses less memory than the others (except on Mac where native systems like Safari fare better, but it still may be better ). It is known for running faster than others (particularly in going back and forward in browser history) and has numerous unique features.
Overall, it has historically been by far the most innovative browser, and is still doing it.

I only used Opera for a long time, but i’ve come across many flaws in displaying pages. The only reason i stuck with it was that it had that “recycle bin” for tabs i had closed (arghhh, i needed that). But i gave Firefox another chance, installed a couple of updates and it’s a lot better (i had previously tried it a LONG time ago and it sucked big time). Give it another try
