over time
i started programming when i was 6 or 7 years old, and have been mostly self-taught in building upon my AmigaBASIC beginnings. with some help, my code & knowledge gained structure and information, and i am now experienced in a large range of useful programming & scripting languages, which i hope to increase in future years.
i attended the 1999 & 2000 australian informatics olympiad selection schools, and was invited to 2001's school, but was unable to attend. these taught me many areas of programming, software engineering, the science behind algorithms, and a vast range of other knowledge relating to programming.
anyway, here's a list of programming languages that i know somewhat (i have under and overestimated):
| i know well |
quite well |
a bit |
| BASIC |
C++ |
Assembler |
| HTML (& CSS, etc) |
Pascal |
C |
| &nsbp; |
PERL |
Prolog |
| JavaScript |
SQL |
programs
most of the stuff here is just something i decided to make, made to something that could sort of be useable, and could no longer be bothered with. but if you're really enthusiastic and wanna telll me about bugs and suggestions and stuff, feel free.

nb: if you reuse any of my code, please leave a note in your code and/or compiled program (whichever is relevant) to that effect, thanks! [and if it's good, send me the program too, which it can't be if it uses my code... ignore that point.]
most of my programs are freeware (if not otherwise specified), and they can be distributed, as long as they are distributed with their associated files as they were downloaded. source code that is available on the site, may be reused, with due reference to the author (ie. joel nothman; www.jnothman.cjb.net), unless otherwise specified. it would be nice if you also let me know when using my code. i'd like that.
