I had a similar mix-up myself once. I wanted to study Classical Hebrew back when I was doing a BA in Communication and they told me not to because I already had enough subjects. When the time came for me to graduate, I wasn't on the list. I spoke to the head of department and all she could say was, "Sorry, we added them up incorrectly. Looks like you should have done Hebrew". Grrr. They ended up counting my first sex months in yeshiva instead. Lucky you. I had a similar mix-up myself once.
